ParalizadoParalizado is a fanfic I wrote to challenge Grovyle246's fanfic. You going down, Grovyle, either way, here it is. Paralizado Chapter One: The End The end seems an unfitting name for the beginning of a fanfic, but some people say it was the only one that worked. Either way, no changes to the chapter name are coming your way. It all began in a dark, cool night in the World of Pokémon. It seemed eeire, but there was nothing as scary as the night itself coming, it seemed. All was quiet; the Kecleon Brothers had moved their shop to Treasure Town, a place far north of Pokémon Square, and Wigglytuff had left the town, unknown to anyone where he was going or doing. The natural disasters had died down immensely, but the town's gloom had not lifted. Even though the world had been saved by a Cubone and his partner, a well known Treecko, the sadness of their three friends fatuiged them. In a small hut on the far side of town, a Caterpie was tucked up neatly on a small pile of straw covered by a blanket. He was not asleep, more, listening to the storm outside. His mother was becomong overprotective of him ever since the Cubone and Treecko had saved him from falling into a Fissure, probably caused by some stray Geodude, or a Groudon. She shuddered to think Pokémon were after her boy, but now the world had been saved, most of these Pokémon put into prison, or defeated by rescue teams, nothing still seemed right. The Square had changed ever since the three had left. People were trying to survive, as their food was only bought form the Kecleon brothers, who waved a sad goodbye as they left. Wigglytuff then announced he was off too and no one knew where he had gone, and no one had a chance to ask him as he had left when people had got to grips with what had happened. Butterfree, the mother of the Caterpie, knew very well what was going on. Everyone had to go into dungeons to get food, not the safest place to get them, it seemed to her. However, she was forced to go into a dangerous dungeon and find dirty food on the ground. Life was better when the Kecleon brothers were around. The Pokémon, mostly, had changed. They were lining up in the streets to evolve, as they knew it would make them strounger. The most affected by this was Granbull, a poor teen who could not evolve more than he already had. He was at a loss, and it seemed he wouldn't make it much longer. He was sick every day and medical attention was soon needed, by a Seviper doctor. Nothing seemed to be able to cure him, even food. And one night, in the middle of October, Granbull passed away in his sleep. Caterpie looked as if he needed to evolve. He looked white in the face, and his temprature was burning up. Tomorrow, she'd evolve him. Tomorrow everything. She flew gently into Caterpie's room. She saw him lying, face up, on his bed, awake. She knew he didn't have long to live if he stayed a Caterpie. "You're going to evolve tomorrow." Caterpie just continued to look at the ceiling. He seemed tormented by the sound of the storm raging outside. She decided to leave him be when she heard something crash outside. She looked frantically around the room, called a quick goodbye to Caterpie and dashed outside into Pokémon Square. A small crowd had already gathered around a small object lying in the very center of the square. She passed through the crowd, looking for someone. She stopped when she saw Persian. Persian had always been her protector, greedy though he was, he was a good friend and always there for her family. "What's going on?" "Something crashed down from the sky a few minutes ago, it was pretty loud, so people came out to see, get a load of it! It's amazing!" Butterfree flew past the crowd and saw exactly what is was. It was a small piece of rubble. A piece, she, and it seemed all the other townspeople recognized. It was a small piece of marble, that came from the right hand corner of the Kecleon shop. It had been part of a whole chuck of marble, which the Kecleon used to sell to their customers, mostly to fix up holes in walls, but what drove them to the fact that it was part of the Kecleon brothers' marble, was the fact that the letters "Half Pri" were carved into the marble. "Half Price". The day before the brothers had left town, the marble had been half price in an "Everything Must Go" sale. It was the same marble. That left the burning question. How was it broken off the original piece, and by what, it seemed it had been broken with a Pokémon power, and not a claw, or a bite. Another question was "Why? Who would do this?", but there was one thing that everybody knew. Someone, somewhere, had gone to Treasure Town, broken a part of marble off a huge chunk used by the Kecelon brothers, and thrown or teleported it to Pokémon Square. That meant whoever this was had gotten past the brothers. The brothers had never been robbed. They always remained alert, even when sleeping. That meant one thing. One thing that was burning in the minds of everyone. The Kecleon brothers had been robbed, that meant, no one was safe in Pokémon Square. Their best guards had been robbed. In the morning, everybody in the town attended a town meeting. People gathered around the pond waiting for everybody to arrive. When the last Pokémon, Swalot, had arrived, Whiscash began to talk. "Rescue teams are safe. They can eat whenever they want. They have bags that can hold food. They can survive looking for food. But we, the Pokémon of this town cannot. As witnessed last night, the Kecleon brothers, our most well protected friends, were robbed. And then what had been robbed had been brought to this town as a kind of threaten, maybe trying to tell us that this was the end, that no one was safe anymore. That money was going to be stolen, the moves would be freely linked, that items put in storage would be misused and stolen. We thought nothing could be worse than our present situation. We were wrong. After the passing of our beloved friend, Granbull, be all knew that if all the food was going to go, no one would survive without becoming stronger. We thought nothing could be worse. But whoever, or whatever this was, was threatening to rob everybudy, which he or she could no doubt do if he or she robbed the Kecleons. But, what about our friends, the Kecleons? They are not safe either, you know. How do we know that our friends are not being mugged, or held hostages right now? So, I am launching a plan. Our plan is called "Operation The End", and the end it exactly what will happen if this pan does not succeed. Three rescue teams of the Lucario Rank will participate. First, Team ACT, the most respected Rescue Team in Pokémon Square. Alakazam, Charizard, Tyranitar, please come here." The team walked towards Whiscash and stood next to him. They looked, for the first time, scared, nervous. Like they knew the worse was yet to come. Nobody had ever seen team ACT scared before. It was a kind of landmark thing that the town seemed to notice but not mention to each other. "Second, Team PokéPower." Sceptile, Marowak, and Dragonite walked up to the other side of Whiscash and stood silently, obviously less scared but still shaking a bit. "And finally, Team Hydro" Team Hydro's Blastoise, Feraligatr, and Swampert walked up beside Whiscash and stood fearlessly . "These three resuce teams will travel to Treasure Town. They will find many things along the way, like new members, but when they arrive, they will check up on the Kecleon Brothers and show them these pictures." Whiscash gestured over some pictures of the town. Some being Granbull's grave, Granbull the night before he passed away, the line to evolve, the dirty food they were forced to eat, and most ohrriffic, the marble chunk that was cound on the ground. "We know Kecleon brothers needed to leave, but, we needed the Kecleon brothers. Hopefully, these photographs will show the brothers what life is like in Pokémon Square without them. The three teams will go on three separate routes to Treasure Town. It is not a race, but the biggest rescue mission you have ever had to go on. Thin this as a privelage, as only teams of the Lucario Rank are going. But, one thing. We do not expect you to come out of this unharmed. It is up to your teammates to carry one another when wounded, or use their last PP on their Recover attack on their friend. If you are harmed, march on like the brave Pokémon you are. You will head off tomorrow, pack your bags and bid your goodbyes, and get ready to rescue the Kecleons from a force that is threatening our town. The force that threatens to rob us again. Because if they could rob the Kecleons, they can rob anywhere!" The town erupted into a huge cheer. The teams were treated as heroes all day and were greatly respected the day afterwards. Marowak was walking up the square. "Well done!" shouted Ludicolo. "Show us you can do it!" cheered Victreebel. "Good luck!" shouted an Arbok lurking in the shadows. The Arbok slithered up to Marowak. The Arbok was a co-member of Team Meanies who had suddenly had enough of it all. "I'm sorry about all the bad things me, Medicham, and Gengar did to you. It was only for some attention and we're very sorry. If any three teams deserved to go on the journey, I'm glad it was you three. Meanies only deserve to be rejected." The Arbok slithered away with his head bowed towards the ground. "Hey, Arbok?" called Marowak. Arbok turned around and slithered back up to Marowak. "Dragonite and me were discussing something last night. You were a very noble Pokémon when you told Gengar, eye-to-eye that you were quitting the team, and that you survived his many Shadow Claws. And I know you've always wanted to go on a journey to a far away place with a rescue team with real friends on it. You are a strong Pokémon, a noble and strong one, and I'd like to recruit you to Team PokéPower." Arbok looked shocked at Marowak. His old enemy was suddenly asking him to join his rescue team? "Really, like, this isn't some cruel joke?" "No. We all want you as a member." Arbok looked delighted. "Count me in!" Marowak and Arbok went back to the team base and called Sceptile and Dragonite over. Sceptile and Dragonite looked delighted that they had another member for the journey, and decided to present the final squad going to Whiscash. Alakazam, Charizard, Tyranitar, and a Metagross were declared as the final squad for Teaam ACT. Blastoise, Feraligatr, Swampert, and Gyarados were declared the final sqad for Team Hydro, and Marowak, Sceptile, Dragonite, and Arbok were declared final squad for Team PokéPower. The whole town gathered at the crossroads south of Team PokéPower's base to bid the twelve Pokémon goodbye and good luck. Team ACT took the left royte to Treasure Town, with only their badge, a map, a tracking device (so Pelipper could deliver their mail to them), and a backpack each. Each team was given one of each of these objects and PokéPower went the middle route, and Hydro went the right route. It seemed that the End wasn't so the end. It seemed that there was a little beacon of hope for Pokémon Square. That night, the members of Pokémon Square were treated to a banquet: A Slver Rank Rescue team had collected all the food they could find after a thourough runthrough of every dungeon they knew. It was a once in a lifetime amount of dirty food, but nonetheless, after the feast, even though all the food was gone, they knew it would fill them up really full for the next few days with no food at all. But for the three rescue teams on a mission, the end had just begun.
